Maintenance Technician 12 hour shift
About The Position
Buffalo Tungsten, a leading manufacturer and global supplier of high purity tungsten powder, is seeking a Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for maintaining a wide range of production and plant equipment, including advanced electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, repair work orders, and building maintenance tasks. The scope of work includes routine tasks and specialized work involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, ventilation, electrical, and robotic systems as part of a Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. Buffalo Tungsten is part of the Sandvik group, within the Powder Solutions division.
Requirements
- Have a Safety-First mindset
- Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience in manufacturing maintenance or other related fields is beneficial
Nice To Haves
- Technical certification or associates degree preferred
- Ability to perform basic welding repairs and light metal fabrication activities to support maintenance operations is a plus
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance and complete repair work orders for production equipment.
- Conduct building maintenance tasks.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to restore equipment functionality.
- Inspect and test machinery to identify potential problems and implement solutions before failures occur.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to perform accurate repairs.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades and process improvements.
- Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, in CMMS for accurate tracking.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Team Leader.
