About The Position

The Maintenance Technician works alongside the service and office teams to ensure repairs and maintenance of property facilities and apartment homes meet or exceed standards. The role performs maintenance requests, preventative maintenance, equipment and fixture repairs, and upkeep of common areas and grounds. The technician also tracks maintenance work, maintains the shop and inventory, coordinates daily and weekly priorities with the Lead Maintenance Technician, and responds to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

The position is full-time, generally Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM, although hours may vary slightly. Initial pay is $25.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on location and experience. Eligible team members may receive monthly and quarterly bonuses.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial, residential, or apartment maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and/or an EPA/HVAC license.
• Available full-time, generally Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM; hours may vary slightly.
• Available for emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance requests involving plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose HVAC units, replace filters, and clean coils.
• Repair and replace furnished kitchen appliances, including refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers, ovens, and microwaves.
• Perform minor to moderate plumbing repairs, replacements, and installations.
• Repair or replace sink, shower, and toilet fixtures.
• Repair or replace electrical fixtures and switches.
• Change locks, handle lockouts, and replace doors, doorknobs, and lock systems.
• Operate equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Maintain and organize the maintenance shop and inventory.
• Track service requests and maintenance work using software systems.
• Assist with maintaining grounds, interior and exterior common areas, and pools.
• Work with the Lead Maintenance Technician on daily and weekly priorities.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
