Maintenance Technician — Biochar Production

About The Position

Robinson Carbon is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our Alexandria, Louisiana biochar facility running reliably. You'll own the preventive maintenance program for our BET PRD1000 pyrolysis reactor and material handling equipment. Be the first call when something breaks. This is a chance to build a maintenance program from the ground up at a first-of-its-kind production site.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally with rotating or high-temperature equipment (boilers, dryers, kilns, or similar)
• Comfortable reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Available for day or night shifts and occasional on-call support
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in an industrial environment that may involve heat and dust
• Safely operate front-end loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and other rolling stock to move feedstock and finished biochar around the site

Nice To Haves

• Basic PLC/HMI troubleshooting a plus
• Welding, fabrication, or millwright experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute the scheduled maintenance program on the pyrolysis reactor, conveyors, augers, and material handling equipment, including lubrication, belt and chain adjustment, and filter changes
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults across the reactor system and supporting equipment
• Maintain spare-parts inventory, order replacement parts, and keep accurate maintenance logs
• Respond to unplanned equipment failures and prioritize repairs to minimize production downtime
• Coordinate with the Production Lead and Reactor Operators to schedule maintenance windows that avoid disrupting production runs
• Follow lockout/tagout and other safety protocols; use required PPE at all times
