About The Position

All Star Rents is a family-owned equipment rental business established in 1962 and operated by the third generation of the family. Its 13 locations provide sales and rentals of construction equipment, tools, and vehicles. The Vallejo location is hiring a Maintenance Technician to assist customers and repair and service construction and landscaping equipment. This is a full-time hourly position requiring Saturday shifts. Shifts regularly end at 5:30 p.m.; there are no nights or Sundays. The role includes a 90-day hands-on bootcamp training program covering equipment service and customer service the All Star Rents way.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a valid California driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Provide valid proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds unaided.
• Have at least one year of mechanical job experience, including service and inspections.
• Be computer literate, including typing and understanding computers, technology, and basic software.
• Have some mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment.
• Have professional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Have a serious attitude toward workplace safety.
• Pass a satisfactory background check and a four-panel drug screening.
• Choose a drug-free lifestyle.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude who enjoys having fun at work.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical certifications are a plus.
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality control inspections.
• Load and unload equipment for customers and assist with safety regulations.
• Complete repairs and service equipment.
• Make equipment deliveries as needed.
• Keep safety a top priority.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Partner with branch and fleet mechanics as needed.
• Attend and assist with training as applicable.
• Perform tasks, processes, and procedures delegated by the supervisor.
• Maintain a professional appearance as a representative of All Star Rents.
