About The Position

Summit Property Management is hiring Maintenance Technicians for an upcoming acquisition in South Dallas. This role involves completing work orders, maintaining community appearance, identifying and reporting maintenance issues and hazards, preparing vacant apartments for move-in, and making necessary repairs to ensure apartments are ready for occupancy. The position requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures and may involve working odd schedules and being on call.

Requirements

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience
• HVAC Certification required
• ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and all major appliances, including washer and dryer
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
• Basic computer proficiency preferred

Nice To Haves

• EPA universal license for HVAC preferred
• CPO license preferred
• college-level/trade school preferred
• Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and other community maintenance
• Strive to make the community appearance at or above quality standards at all times, including picking up trash, cleaning buildings and amenities on an ongoing basis
• Look for needed maintenance and liability hazards and reports them to Manager
• Prepare vacant apartments for move in
• Review the make-ready board and follows through on direction from the manager to determine action to be taken on vacant apartments
• Make all repairs and replacements necessary for the apartment to be occupied
• Require working odd schedules and be on call
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
