About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician at JLL, you'll be the hands-on expert who keeps critical building systems running smoothly and efficiently. You'll respond to service requests, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across commercial properties. This role puts you at the heart of facility operations, where your technical skills directly impact the comfort and safety of building occupants. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related technical field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in varied environmental conditions

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Universal Certification for refrigerant handling
  • Trade certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related disciplines
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and energy management platforms
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience working in research, science laboratories, or commercial buildings
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
  • Conduct routine inspections of building systems and equipment, identifying potential problems before they escalate
  • Respond promptly to work orders and service requests, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions
  • Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance while meeting or exceeding KPIs
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors on specialized repairs, capital projects, and system upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies during maintenance activities, and participate in emergency response procedures and on-call rotation
