About The Position

Summit Interconnect - Anaheim is currently has an open position for a Maintenance Tech (2nd shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications. Position Summary: Provides production support in the Printed Circuit Board Industry ensuring that ALL manufacturing equipment at Summit facilities are maintained and optimized. Performs tasks such as HVAC/Heating and Chiller troubleshooting and repairs, Manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and repairs, Electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Preventive maintenance for ALL Equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of (10) years’ experience in the printed circuit board industry.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Must have Electrical and Electronic Controls knowledge including PLCs used in the Printed Circuit Board Industry.
  • Mechanically inclined and experience with various maintenance shop tools and testing equipment.
  • Must be able to work on all types of ladders at recommended safe heights.
  • Have the strength, agility and endurance to work in restricted spaces and/or on top of Equipment.
  • Must have sufficient lung capacity to perform job duties with Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. Gas Mask).
  • Must be able to lift 75lbs (may be required to lift pumps, motors and material with or without assistance).
  • Must own set of basic hand tools.
  • Capable of sufficiently interpreting Electrical wire diagrams and schematics for the use of troubleshooting failures or to make modification as needed.
  • Willing to take ownership of responsibilities that are assigned and have a willingness to be a team player and help where needed.
  • Must be able to work safely with hazardous chemicals
  • This position requires compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Under ITAR, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (e.g., "Green Card" holder), asylee, or refugee as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). Applicants who do not meet this requirement may not be eligible for employment in this position.

Nice To Haves

  • College/Trade schooling is a plus.
  • HVAC experience is a plus.
  • Welding all types of materials is a big plus with the use of - TIG, MIG, Oxy/Acetylene Torch, Electrical Arc, Hot Air Plastic Welding.

Responsibilities

  • Assess quality, determine root cause, and corrective actions in the areas of duties assigned.
  • Responsible for optimizing ALL equipment utilization.
  • Ability to work with PLC’s and associated accessories.
  • Maintains tools and equipment for proper calibration, function and operation per procedures.
  • Replace or repair electrical wiring, motors, water pumps, and other integrated parts of air conditioning/heating, chillers and production equipment.
  • Identify necessary components and materials needed to make repairs for Summit Facility or equipment.
  • Performs daily maintenance on specified equipment.
  • Responsible for overall maintenance of facility which may include painting, patching, tile, sweeping, mopping, plumbing and any other facility needs as directed by Manager.
  • Cut and drill holes in floors, walls and roof to install needed equipment using power tools.
  • Create and maintain inventory log and equipment making sure all equipment is always organized and accounted for.
  • Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and safety regulations.
  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with Company, Local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
  • Responsible for requesting required materials, supplies and equipment parts from Manager.
  • Special projects and other responsibilities may be assigned.
