About The Position

This role is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and improving industrial machinery, special assembly machines, and various production equipment including brazing, TIG welding, and spot welding. The technician will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, aiming to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation through timely repairs and routine inspections. Key responsibilities include monitoring equipment performance, documenting maintenance activities, ensuring equipment meets operational and quality specifications, and adhering to safety standards. The position also involves operating production equipment, collaborating with other teams, assisting with equipment installation and setup, attending meetings, and participating in training programs. The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment is essential.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with electrical/mechanical troubleshooting at the component level
  • 3+ years of experience working on industrial assembly machines.
  • Experience with VOM with the ability to understand the results, troubleshoot components (proximity switch, limit switch, PLC input/output level).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical skills, such as understanding Hydraulics and Pneumatics, not only theory, but real, hands-on experience.
  • Basic machine shop practices, such as drilling holes with drill press, tapping holes, threading pipe, identifying pipe fittings, and how they are used (some water lines, mostly air lines).
  • Ability to measure in inches, millimeters, with tape measures, scales, micrometers and calipers.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in a technical discipline, a plus or ETA, NCCER Certification or Electro Mechanical PLC Technician Certification necessary or equivalent experience in Usui International Corporation.
  • Basic knowledge of milling machines and lathe operations is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Repairing, maintaining, and improving industrial machinery, special assembly machines, brazing, TIG welding, spot welding, and other production equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Performing timely repairs and replacements to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Performing routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Monitoring the performance of machinery and equipment in real time, identifying potential issues before they lead to downtime.
  • Documenting maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and machine downtimes in detail.
  • Ensuring that machines and equipment meet operational and quality specifications and conducting tests to verify proper functioning.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities.
  • Operating all production equipment, including additional support equipment such as cranes, forklifts etc.
  • Collaborating with production, quality, and engineering teams to address technical issues and improve equipment reliability.
  • Assisting with the installation/removal of equipment and setup of new machinery and equipment.
  • Attending any required supervisor meetings.
  • Welding.
  • Participating in training and development programs to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Working as a team member in a team-oriented environment.
