About The Position

Manpower is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a company in Belle Glade, FL. This role involves a variety of mechanical maintenance tasks, including the repair, replacement, and installation of parts, fixtures, appliances, and structures. The position requires the ability to use appropriate methods, tools, and materials while working independently with minimal supervision. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Lead Technician.

Requirements

• Knowledge of standard practices, tools, materials, and safety procedures related to general building and grounds maintenance
• Ability to properly use and maintain tools and equipment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with others
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks consistently and efficiently
• Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record
• Must be bondable
• High school diploma or GED required
• Position is contingent on a background check

Responsibilities

• Assisting with unit turnovers to ensure they are clean, safe, and move-in ready
• Painting and replacing windows and screens
• Preparing interior and exterior surfaces for painting and applying finishes
• Performing minor plaster patching
• Repairing gutters and downspouts
• Repairing water faucets, toilet tanks, and bowls, and removing blockages
• Operating maintenance equipment
• Installing and repairing plumbing fixtures
• Responding to on-call, emergency, and after-hours maintenance needs as required
• Assisting with grounds maintenance
• Completing additional duties as assigned
