About The Position

Key Point Health Services, Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings. This role involves working on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as general building upkeep. The technician will troubleshoot and fix faulty systems, conduct routine preventive maintenance, and assemble/set up machinery. Responsibilities also include general upkeep of buildings and properties, communicating with clients/employees about repairs and costs, keeping detailed work records, and performing tasks such as drywall repair, painting, and snow removal. The technician may also repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, and woodwork. A basic knowledge of maintenance documentation is required. The role includes a 2-week on-call period for residential maintenance issues and requires recognizing when a job is beyond their skill level and needs specialized expertise.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Basic knowledge of construction and tools.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit, climb, ascend and descend stairs, balance, taste, and smell.
  • Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
  • Troubleshoot and fix faulty electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building upkeep.
  • Inspect and diagnose operational problems and figure out the best way to correct them.
  • Do routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly.
  • Assemble and set up machinery or equipment.
  • Do general upkeep of buildings and properties.
  • Communicate with clients/employees to estimate repairs and costs.
  • Keep detailed records of their work.
  • Fix drywall.
  • Painting.
  • Snow removal.
  • Fix roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, and other parts of buildings.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance documentation.
  • 24 hours on call for Residential maintenance issues.
  • Recognize when a job is above their skill level and requires the expertise of electricians; carpenters; heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers; and plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.
