About The Position

Maintenance Technicians perform general maintenance and repairs within the facility and are expected to communicate and work effectively with others. This is a permanent, full-time, hourly position. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The schedule is 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. from January through May and 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. from June through December; hours may change during harvest season. Company benefits become available for enrollment after 60 days, and vacation is available after one year.

Requirements

Experience with basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical skills.
Above-average attendance skills.
Ability to work independently.
High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
One year of experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to work in multiple climates and environments, including dirt, heat, freezer, smoke or steam, noise, vibration, grease or oil, fumes, dust or shavings, and wet conditions.

Responsibilities

Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders.
Adhere to all food safety and GMP policies.
Use and wear all personal protective equipment required by the company.
Grease and lubricate equipment and complete the required supporting documentation.
Perform preventative maintenance duties and complete the required supporting documentation.
Complete company-required safety training, including GMP practices, lockout/tagout, proper lifting, and other safety training.
Assist other departments as needed.
Perform basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
Follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties requested by the supervisor.
