About The Position

Worthington Enterprises is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd or 3rd shift. The role troubleshoots mechanical and electrical problems throughout the facility efficiently and safely, performs preventive and mechanical maintenance, and repairs machinery. The successful candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver with a strong work ethic who helps ensure quality standards are met. The position calls for a strong electrical and PLC manufacturing background, the ability to read and understand ladder logic, and the ability to program HMIs. Candidates must complete and pass an electrical board and PLC programming hands-on assessment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong electrical and PLC manufacturing background; ability to read and understand ladder logic and program HMIs.
• Must complete and pass an electrical board and PLC programming hands-on assessment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
• Mechanical, welding, and cutting skills.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
• Problem-solving skills, safe work practices, and attention to quality.
• Workbench and computer skills.
• Ability to use meters and complete measurements.
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Allen Bradley PLC.
• May require CPR and first aid training.
• Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, and confined space training.

Responsibilities

• Complete mechanical repairs and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery as assigned.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
• Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction.
• Enter data into the maintenance system accurately and promptly.
• Perform advanced electrical work safely in the maintenance field.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
