Maintenance Technician - S. Washington / N. Oregon
About The Position
Valvoline is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs at company-owned oil change facilities. The work covers general building systems, tire rotation lifts, pneumatic pumps, air compressors, portable equipment such as transmission flush, coolant, and A/C machines, as well as carpentry, plumbing, and painting. The role includes retrieving, documenting, and completing work orders through the company’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The technician relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the job and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. This position supports stores from Renton, Washington, to Seaside, Oregon.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field.
- Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines.
- Understanding and use of CMMS and computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, or similar.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-service orientation.
- Organization and time-management skills.
- Professionalism.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to stand and walk or run for long periods.
- Ability to bend and twist, repeat movements, and kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to grasp, move, or assemble objects with one or two hands and move two or more limbs together while remaining in place.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance consistent with work order tasks, company and manufacturer recommendations, and industry standards.
- Complete break/fix work orders within specified service-level time frames and in compliance with company specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and industry standards.
- Complete or assist with special projects as assigned and in compliance with company standards.
- Assist other Maintenance Technicians as necessary and when directed.
- Inventory, order, and organize parts and materials in the maintenance vehicle and warehouse location.
- Retrieve, document, and complete work orders using the company’s CMMS.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline.
