About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of maintenance duties at Heritage Commons in Dixon, California, including preventative, emergency, cosmetic, and routine maintenance and regular inspections. The work emphasizes safe practices, sustained physical effort, troubleshooting, problem solving, attention to detail, customer service, and time management.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience performing the described maintenance tasks in an apartment development or comparable position.
Ability to function in an on-call capacity.
Reliable transportation.
Valid driver's license.
Basic mathematical and computer skills.
Fluency in English.
Very good time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual ability.
Knowledge of REAC and other regulatory inspections.

Responsibilities

Schedule and respond to work orders, following up with residents and management as needed.
Keep preventative maintenance scheduling and work up to date.
Perform cosmetic and routine maintenance throughout the community.
Complete unit turnovers and preparations for new move-ins on schedule.
Conduct move-in and move-out inspections.
Conduct quarterly inspections with the Property Manager.
Perform and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and masonry repairs as needed.
Coordinate, schedule, and oversee vendor work with the Property Manager as necessary.
Provide scheduled on-call coverage for off-shift and weekend maintenance emergencies.
