About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing work safely and in accordance with GMP and housekeeping standards. This role involves working with Hydraulic and Industrial Electrical systems, troubleshooting equipment, and performing preventative maintenance without supervision. The technician will also be expected to communicate effectively with upper management, be proficient with all measuring and hand tools, and be able to read and understand electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and hard copy PLC programs. Basic computer skills are also required.

Requirements

  • Mechanical experience with Hydraulic, industrial electrical
  • Understand and adhere to all safety requirements.
  • Trouble shoot equipment
  • Perform PMs without supervision
  • Be proficient with all measuring tools
  • Be proficient with all hand tools.
  • Be able to read and understand electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, hard copy PLC programs.
  • Possess the skills to electrically and mechanically trouble shoot equipment.
  • Possess the skills to understand and follow directions from his or her supervisor
  • Posse basic computer skills
  • Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Knowing the location of the SDS Safety Data Sheets and how to utilize properly.
  • Knowing not to operate any equipment or perform any work without the proper training and authorization to do complete the task safely.
  • Always following proper LOTO lock out/tag out procedures.
  • Never remove or bypass machine guards and NEVER while the machine is in operation.
  • Being cautious and aware of lift trucks and moving equipment.
  • Reporting all injuries or accidents to the Department Lead or Manager or immediately.
  • Understand and follow plants housekeeping guidelines.

  • Being aware of all Emergency Exits and knowing procedures for Emergency Evacuation as well as location.
  • Knowing the location of the SDS Safety Data Sheets and how to utilize properly.
  • Knowing not to operate any equipment or perform any work without the proper training and authorization to do complete the task safely.
  • Always following proper LOTO lock out/tag out procedures.
