They are looking for driven individuals to join their expanding team. The Kitchener facility is seeking a Fully Licensed Millwright for the Afternoon or Night Shift. Consideration will be given to Registered 3rd year 433A Apprentices or higher. The Millwright is crucial for keeping the production floor running and meeting customer requirements in a fast-paced, "just-in-time" environment. Cooperation with Maintenance, Production, and Continuous Improvement Teams is essential. Candidates must be flexible to work any/all shifts, daily/weekend overtime as required, and rotating on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Certified Industrial Millwright 433A Tradesperson
  • minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • minimum 5 years maintenance manufacturing experience - production floor & facilities work (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, equipment relocation, facility installs/upgrades & troubleshooting)
  • experience with hand and power tools
  • ability to read, write & communicate in English
  • excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • self-driven & able to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • excellent team-player with a positive "can-do" attitude & excellent attendance

Nice To Haves

  • Registered 3rd year 433A Apprentices or higher
  • automation and/or experience with paint lines & systems
  • plastic injection moulding and/or automotive industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform PM Duties on equipment per PM Schedule.
  • Trouble shoot hydraulic problems and repair.
  • Trouble shoot electrical / electronic problems and repair.
  • Trouble shoot and repair mechanical problems.
  • Record corrective action.
  • Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions.
  • Record repairs on PM forms.
  • Provide proper lighting to work areas.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or other Senior Management.
