Iron Horse is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our railcar repair plant, equipment, and support systems operating safely and reliably. We are looking for a mechanic first. You do not need to know how to repair every piece of equipment in our plant. What matters most is that you know how to diagnose a problem, determine what is causing the failure, and make the repair. This position is a great fit for someone with a background as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, fleet mechanic, automotive mechanic, agricultural equipment mechanic, industrial mechanic, or similar mechanical repair role. If you've spent your career figuring out why an engine, motor, pump, piece of equipment, or electrical system isn't working—and then fixing it—we want to talk to you. Industrial maintenance experience is valuable, but it is not the only path into this position. We can teach you our equipment and processes. We need someone who brings strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, good judgment, and a willingness to learn.
