Requirements

  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography).
  • Skilled in implementing and optimizing preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to food quality and food safety standards.
  • Complete preventive and proactive maintenance per the schedule to prevent breakdowns on equipment.
  • Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages, collaborating with other departments.
  • Act as the initial responder when a line stops producing and ensure appropriate mechanical help is on-site to correct problems quickly using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
  • Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize manufacturing downtime.
  • Complete all required paperwork and documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to ensure the optimal operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery, including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and component replacement.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one specific piece of equipment.
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
  • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Implement and optimize preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
  • Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.
  • Support the facility’s food safety and food quality programs.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
