About The Position

Provide maintenance support and repairs to production machinery, computer systems and facility for a 24hr / 7 day manufacturing operation. This role is for an Electro-Mechanical Industrial Maintenance Technician 3 on the Night Shift. The shift hours are 7:30 PM – 6:00 AM, and weekends are required for shutdown maintenance. Some overtime and holiday work may also be required based on business needs. The hourly pay rate is $30.00 - $35.00 DOE with a shift differential of $1.25 per hour. Candidates must have experience performing electromechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of high-speed automated industrial machinery. The primary functions include providing production support, troubleshooting technical problems, and performing corrective and preventive maintenance to maximize throughput and efficiency. This role also performs the duties of a Maintenance Technician 2 as required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years related electro-mechanical experience
Extensive hands on experience and detailed knowledge of: Industrial mechanical and electrical machines and systems
Extensive hands on experience and detailed knowledge of: Computers hardware and software, specifically industrial controls and related I/O’s
Able to identify and perform Level A, B, & C equipment preventive maintenance.
Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations/requirements.
Able to read and understand schematics/blueprints.
Strong Computer literacy: Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet software.
Must demonstrate good time management skills.
Plans and organizes daily work flow.
Ability to retain knowledge of procedures and processes and understand complex instructions and multi-step procedures.
Willingness to attend training classes to learn or enhance skills.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Ability to organize work, people and materials.
Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate area, circumference, volume, etc.
Service-oriented personality.
Ability to work independently on nights and weekend shifts.
Ability to work a 12-hour rotating work schedule with call-in and overtime duties.

Associates Degree, technical certification, or equivalent preferred
Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language.
Powered Industrial Truck Certification preferred
Ideal candidates will have experience with Inventory Software, Manufacturing Software, and Order Processing systems.

Responsibilities

Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests on the production floor.
Train production technicians in the proper set-up and copy troubleshooting techniques.
Provide training and assistance to production technicians as needed to help maximize production output and minimize downtime through the utilization of proper production techniques and handling practices.
Effectively diagnose mechanical, electrical, network, and computer hardware/software in assigned area (facility, machinery, equipment, etc.).
Make timely and accurate repairs, as necessary, during production.
Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment.
Inspect machinery for potential problems on a daily basis. Documents problems and schedules work/repairs as appropriate.
Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
Responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan. These activities will be recorded using proper PM sheets.
Perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.
Inform Supervisor of parts and equipment used from inventory.
Record maintenance activities using the proper computer application or paperwork.
Provide training and coaching to new maintenance technicians and inspects their work.
Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean-up, machine and equipment clean-up, sweeping up after clean-up and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
