About The Position

US Synthetic has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician III located in Orem, UT. The Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing advanced repairs on equipment, focusing on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems. This role includes conducting preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime and contributing to continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Completion of higher education degree or certificate(s) in Maintenance related fields i.e. AET, Automation Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, etc. and/or 15+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical repair of industrial machines
  • High school diploma/GED is required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role
  • Understand mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics and utilize when performing maintenance repairs
  • Willing to comply with safety regulations and maintain clean orderly work area (5S)

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on a large variety of machines and equipment
  • Advanced troubleshooting with machine issues on down-calls and repair equipment per machine schematics whether mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic machines and presses
  • Respond to work orders to improve production capacity or flow and minimize waste
  • Perform machine moves for existing and new machines depending on demand
  • Design and perform upgrades on machines with teams
  • Train others to maintenance responsibilities as needed; direct and train production employees in Total Production Maintenance (TMP) efforts
  • Follow LOTO procedures and use a multimeter in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
