About The Position

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our team at our Chaska, MN bakery. As a Maintenance Technician III, you will perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on bakery production equipment to minimize downtime and support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 4+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation, electronics, mechanical, or electrical systems; or 6+ years of related experience
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC software, I/O, and field devices
  • Experience with at least three of the following: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, or food manufacturing controls
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents including P&IDs, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced environments and adapt to production changes
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working around industrial equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience in food or bakery manufacturing maintenance
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Experience working with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on bakery equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and control systems to ensure operational reliability
  • Install, overhaul, test, and validate equipment to maintain optimal performance
  • Manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and document all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance system
  • Coordinate with planners, supervisors, and parts personnel to ensure timely access to materials and accurate follow‑up actions
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and safety
  • Comply with GMPs, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements across all maintenance work
