This position is responsible for providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performing scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. The role involves diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, and testing and adjusting equipment as needed. The technician will use a variety of tools and equipment, read manuals and work orders, and troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, including Allen Bradley products, PLC programming, and IDEC touch screens. Responsibilities also include installation and repair of electrical components, maintenance of various systems (AC/DC, electrical/air control, air and plumbing, water/honey pumps), performing preventive maintenance, and various plumbing, carpentry, and machinist duties. Tig welding on thin wall stainless steel tubing is also required. The role requires availability for emergency call-backs and a willingness to learn new skills to oversee the maintenance of the production facility. All other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Assistant Plant Manager are also part of the role.
