About The Position

Manage a diverse and talented manufacturing team. Properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the day. Directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting.

Requirements

  • Ability to track expenses and compile budget reports
  • Broad knowledge of production planning processes
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Comfortable working in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation
  • Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
  • Knowledge of process improvement, budgeting, and production standards.
  • The ability to head a team successfully and resolve issues relating to personnel quickly and efficiently.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with production planning, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

  • Help manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results.
  • Enforce company policies and guidelines.
  • Assist workers by offering personal growth opportunities.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and techniques.
  • Ensure that production plans are completed by a certain time.
  • Contact appropriate sources for repair issues.
  • Counsel employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow.
  • Resolve issues and disputes between manufacturing employees.
  • Create and maintain professional schedules.
  • Communicate with and assist other manufacturing departments as needed.
  • Evaluate the condition of production equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all workers.
  • Compile and analyze production records, go over production schedules, and make sure all supplies will be available for daily product runs.
  • Make sure all of the line’s bottle codes and box codes are correct before running.
  • Become familiar with the operation equipment to be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and prevent mechanical failures.
  • Be able to set up and change over machinery, and when needed be able to train new employees to efficiently operate equipment including sorter, labeler, filler, capper, and sleeve machine.
  • Assist operators and utility employees on what might be needed to maintain the operation running smoothly.
  • Train on how to make flavored honey without interfering with regular production.
  • Be able to set up and tear down/wash down equipment when running flavored honey.
  • Able to inventory all supplies to maintain consistent inventory.
  • Able to wash down finished tanks and train others on the process.
  • Able to operate a forklift to fill in when needed.
  • Coach and develop employees.
