About The Position

Responsible for performing and managing installations, repairs, and maintenance of all the Diagnostic Operations (LS/TX) at the Lexington, KY, Mercer facility. Scope of work to include basic wiring/cabling, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, painting, assembly, and general repairs. Schedules and coordinates activities of outside contractors as needed. Obtains quotations and procures necessary materials to perform work. Manages preventive maintenance program and performs scheduled preventive maintenance of operational equipment. Operates tools and equipment required to perform work assignments. Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with company policies and local laws. Participates on the divisional safety committee. Trained to operate fork truck. Works cooperatively with department managers and accepts direction from Maintenance Manager. Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years work experience in maintenance trade or vocational schooling.
Ability to read basic written procedures and instructions in English.
Ability to interpret machinery manuals.
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and averaging.
Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, refrigeration equipment, and plumbing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete Facilities Repair Forms that are submitted for needed repairs.
