Maintenance Technician II (6:00am-3:30pm)
About The Position
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times. This role involves assisting in the development and prioritization of work orders, completing work order requests, and supporting workplace organization and production efficiency programs. The technician will also assist, coach, and train operators in daily preventative maintenance checks, support the preventative maintenance process, and contribute to line commissioning after maintenance or process events. Additionally, the role involves participating in plant projects, operating in a manner that provides value to the team, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- 0 plus years of experience in role of Maintenance Tech I
- Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Will meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech's Training Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program
- Stick and wire welding experience required
- Forklift experience required
- Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
- Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
- Strong mathematical skills
- Success in planning, executing and managing projects
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
- Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 environment
Nice To Haves
- Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus
- structural welding certification, a plus
- ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program
- Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus
- Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus
Responsibilities
- Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
- Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
- Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
- Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
- Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
- Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
- Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
- Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
- Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
- Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management
