About The Position

Cleaver Brooks is looking for a Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift (3:30 to 12 am) to join our team in Lincoln, NE. The Maintenance Technician performs all plant maintenance functions including: troubleshooting equipment, preventive maintenance, repair of plant equipment, replacement and installation of electrical and mechanical systems, and equipment and fixtures. Performs advanced mechanical maintenance and electrical maintenance duties related to equipment or facility troubleshooting, repair, replacement and basic electronic functions. Requirements

• High school education or GED equivalent preferred.
• Associate degree in Electromechanical or Electronic Engineering Technology preferred.
• Technical training in industrial maintenance and/or industrial electricity preferred.
• Good reading, writing and math skills required.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in industrial electronics, with some background in maintenance and/or industrial electricity preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electricity.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Basic welding skills.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to properly use a tape measure and read a blueprint preferred.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs.
• Ability to use different body positions – twisting, pulling, pushing etc.
• Work at 40 ft. heights.
• Work in confined space.
• Access all areas of the plant inside and outside temperatures.
• Use all required PPE.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Install new or repair/replace plant lighting, air compressors, plant air/oxygen/gas distribution and all other mechanical maintenance work requiring thorough knowledge or training in advanced mechanical theory.
• Understand the necessary purchasing related procedures to order a replacement or spare part, including the paperwork procedures required for purchase requisitions.
• Maintain adequate records of inventory of spare parts for all production equipment and reports needed for replacement.
• Diagnose and repair/replace any basic building, structure or grounds problem.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on all welding equipment, CNC drills, press brake, tube bender, metal shear, plasma table, fin tube welder, air tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes.
• Perform intricate machine maintenance, repair and / or replacement, except where management determines that machinery complexity requires outside services.
• Troubleshoot and perform electrical repairs on all welding equipment.
• Identify parts, place purchase orders and receive parts related to plant equipment.
• Successfully complete confined space safety training.
• Work from heights using boom lift.
• Know, understand, and abide by all plant safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Support peers and management with internal and external projects.
• Adhere to company policies.
• All other duties as assigned.
