The Maintenance Technician II - 2nd Shift performs preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and utilities to support safe, efficient plant operations. This role requires hands-on industrial maintenance experience and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with limited supervision. The position is expected to own assigned work orders, document repairs accurately, support equipment reliability, and work closely with senior maintenance and controls personnel on automation-related issues such as sensors, VFDs, HMIs, and PLC-controlled systems. Regular attendance is required. This is a safety-sensitive position and employees must not be under the influence of any substance while working.

Requirements

  • Technical degree, diploma, or certificate in Electrical Automation, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Electricity, or a related technical field.
  • Previous industrial maintenance experience required; technical school projects, internships, military technical experience, or equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
  • Mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, and electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeter).
  • Familiarity with computers and basic software; exposure to industrial automation (PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and VFDs) a plus (training provided).

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned preventive and corrective maintenance work orders safely and efficiently to maintain plant uptime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment using sound maintenance practices, escalation judgment, and available technical resources.
  • Maintain manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and utilities, including lighting, plumbing, compressed air, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot automated bottling equipment, sensors, VFDs, HMIs, and PLC-controlled systems; partner with senior technicians and controls personnel when issues require deeper programming or controls support.
  • Serve as a technical resource for Maintenance Technician I staff on routine troubleshooting and repair questions, escalating complex controls or programming issues to senior technicians as needed.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, and parts-usage documentation.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and GMP, and keep a clean, organized work environment.
