About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining the safe and smooth operation of the physical hotel property and grounds. This role involves completing repairs and preventative maintenance on various systems including plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC. The technician will also perform light carpentry, painting, and vinyl/drywall repair. Additionally, they will implement and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment, maintain detailed records, provide training to Maintenance Tech I team members, and collaborate with management on recruitment. A key aspect of the role is contributing to an exceptional guest experience through courteous and friendly service.

Requirements

  • Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance.
  • Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality.
  • Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations for pool maintenance.
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing.
  • Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods.
  • Flexibility to be available for emergency repair.
  • Previous experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous and friendly guest service.
