About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and smoothly running physical hotel property and grounds. The Maintenance Technician II will complete repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of systems including plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC. They will also perform light carpentry, painting, and vinyl and drywall repair. This position involves implementing and monitoring programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations, such as ergonomic, emergency response, and injury prevention. The role requires keeping detailed records and reports, providing ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members, and collaborating with management for department needs. A key aspect of this role is contributing to an exceptional guest experience through courteous and friendly guest service.

Requirements

Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance.
Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality.
Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations for pool maintenance.
Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel.
Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing.
Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods.
Flexibility to be available for emergency repair.
