About The Position

This is an entry-level maintenance position on the UD Fill B1 shift. The role serves as a primary resource for preventive and demand maintenance activities within the technician’s current skill set, while supporting senior technicians with more advanced tasks. The technician will work across several maintenance areas to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation and develop toward a higher-level skilled-trades technician. The position requires the ability to become aseptic gown certified and to follow GMP, safety, and AbbVie Code of Business Conduct requirements.

Requirements

• Knowledge of and ability to use basic power tools and appropriate hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• Ability to become aseptic gown certified.
• High school diploma with 0+ years of experience, or a relevant certificate.
• Intermediate computer skills, including MS Windows.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical and electrical experience.
• Industrial machine repair and maintenance experience.
• Completion of, or current enrollment in, a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and demand maintenance activities and support predictive maintenance activities.
• Support senior-level technicians with more advanced maintenance tasks across several maintenance areas.
• Build a diverse, multi-craft foundation and develop skills for progression to a higher-level technician role.
• Participate in vocational training to increase skills and knowledge across multiple maintenance functions.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s Code of Business Conduct.
• Understand and follow all GMP and safety regulations.
• Become aseptic gown certified.
