About The Position

Commons at Chantry (Columbus, OH) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to support our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) properties. Due to higher unit turnover complexity and repair needs, this role focuses on advanced-level maintenance to reduce contractor dependency and improve turnaround time.

Requirements

  • 5 years residential or apartment maintenance experience
  • Strong skills in carpentry, drywall, electrical, and plumbing (advanced level required)
  • HVAC experience preferred
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues independently
  • High school diploma or GED required (technical training a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

  • Complete unit turns with minimal contractor support in PSH properties
  • Perform advanced carpentry, drywall repair, plumbing, and electrical work
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
  • Handle preventive maintenance and general repairs across units and common areas
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all codes
  • Support inventory tracking and maintenance documentation
