About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II role involves performing general facility maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks. This position requires a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry, including basic repairs, troubleshooting, and installations. The technician will operate common hand and power tools, read and follow work orders, and maintain a strong work ethic with excellent attendance and reliability. Teamwork and the ability to work independently are essential, as is strict adherence to company safety policies and procedures. The role also requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and climbing ladders in various facility areas.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of plumbing, including basic repairs, leaks, fixtures, toilets, valves, and water lines.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, including outlets, switches, lighting, breakers, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, including doors, drywall, shelving, hardware, and general building repairs.
  • Experience with general facility maintenance and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Ability to read and follow basic instructions, manuals, and work orders.
  • Strong work ethic, attendance, and reliability.
  • Hungry to learn and willing to expand skills in all areas of facility maintenance.
  • Must be a strong team player who works well with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Willingness to assist team members and contribute to completing department goals.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting the maintenance team when needed.
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in various facility areas.
  • High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years of related work experience, OR any degree or certification above a High School Diploma/GED plus 1 year of related work experience, OR 5 years of related work experience.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.
