Maintenance Technician II (AWS Heat Treat)
About The Position
This role puts you hands-on with heat treat furnaces and high-temperature systems that are critical to production. If you enjoy troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, this is where your skills actually matter. The job involves working on high-temperature industrial equipment, specifically heat treat furnaces and support systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing issues with motors, burners, pumps, and controls, responding to breakdowns to restore equipment quickly, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Responsibilities also include replacing components such as bearings, belts, valves, and electrical parts, collaborating with other technicians to resolve recurring equipment problems, and documenting work performed in a CMMS.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical & electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Experience working in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
- Safety-first mindset (LOTO required)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with heat treat, furnaces, kilns, ovens, or high-temperature processes
- Metals, forging, foundry, or similar backgrounds
- PLC/controls experience
