About The Position

Veris Residential, Inc. is seeking a well-organized, enthusiastic individual to join their award-winning property management team as a Maintenance Technician II at the luxury apartment communities Haus 25 & Sable in Jersey City, NJ. Veris Residential is a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on Class A multifamily properties in the Northeast, utilizing a technology-enabled platform to deliver a contemporary living experience.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent or 2 years of experience in the field
EPA certifications for refrigerant recycling and at a minimum, Type I & II certifications (Veris will pay for EPA testing materials and test if completed and passed within 5 months of hire)
Valid Driver’s License and insurance
Black Seal (if required by property)
CPO – Certified Pool Operator Certification (if required by property)
Other licenses and certifications as required by state or local laws

Responsibilities

Diagnose problems with and repair major appliances
Diagnose problems with and repair HVAC systems
Diagnose problems with and repair basic to intermediate plumbing (when no license required)
Diagnose problems with and repair basic to intermediate electrical systems (when no license required)
Repair sheetrock
Perform general carpentry
Perform pool care (if required by property)
Repair gutters
Perform wallpapering and painting
Deal well with people and make them feel comfortable quickly
Utilize basic computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office products
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Provide strong customer service
Arrive at the site within 30 minutes if not living on site
