About The Position

American Products is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician II to support plant operations by maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility systems. The role helps ensure uptime, safety, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment. The position is based in Strafford, Missouri, and works a consistent second-shift schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM. The posting lists pay as $28–$34 per hour plus a $2 per hour shift differential; it also lists $26–$28 per hour based on experience under “Why Join American Products.”

Requirements

Three or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Experience working with CMMS systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Must work in a safety-sensitive environment and wear PPE, including steel toe boots and safety glasses.

Nice To Haves

Industrial Maintenance certification or current enrollment in an Industrial Maintenance certification program.
Three or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance independently.
Diagnose equipment issues involving motors, switches, breakers, and power systems.
Work with 480V, 230V three-phase, and single-phase electrical systems.
Disassemble and repair machinery to correct malfunctions.
Fabricate or repair parts using shop equipment, including a lathe, drill press, grinder, and welding equipment.
Inspect components for wear, misalignment, or failure.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Support facility maintenance needs as required.
