Ensures optimal functioning of all equipment and machinery while performing corrective and preventative maintenance, installs new equipment and verifies functionality, troubleshoots breakdowns and makes emergency repairs under the direction of the Senior Maintenance Tech Supervisor. The role involves manual cleaning, dismantling, replacing, and repairing of defective machines or electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components. It requires locating malfunctions through observation and test instruments, performing preventative maintenance, and installing/repairing automated machinery. The technician will also set up and operate metalworking tools, inspect parts, and use cutting torch or welding equipment. Troubleshooting involves reading blueprints, ladder logic, and schematics. The position requires the use of equipment like forklifts and hoists for moving machinery, and responsible care of tools, parts, materials, and the work area. The role may involve serving as a liaison with vendors, maintaining reliable attendance, following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE, and performing effectively as a team member. The technician is expected to take ownership of their work, follow quality standards, and understand Cambro company culture and core values. Other duties as needed or required.
