Maintenance Technician I
About The Position
Under general supervision, conducts preventive maintenance activities and performs repairs on library buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position will be at the MLS Service Center, located at 300 NE 50th St. in Oklahoma City, OK 73105. The hiring salary for this position is $17.35 hourly. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and is classified as safety-sensitive. Selected candidate must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:30 pm as well as occasional on-call hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of preventive maintenance experience
- Valid State Driver's License
- Current Motor Vehicle Insurance
- Acceptable Driving Record as defined in the Driver Safety Procedures
- Register as a Mechanical Apprentice with the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (required within 60 days following employment)
- Complete an OSHA-compliant forklift certification course (required within 60 days following employment)
