About The Position

CloudKitchens helps restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery. We take underutilized properties and transform them into smart kitchens so they can better serve restaurateurs, customers and the neighborhoods they’re in. This role is not a typical handyman job; it involves working on modern, standardized commercial kitchen facilities in consistent environments, leading to faster repairs and less guesswork. The position offers a mix of hands-on repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility support, with opportunities for independent work and support from experienced teams. There is a clear path to grow into Senior Technician or Facilities Management roles within a fast-growing operation supporting a massive, evolving industry.

Requirements

2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.
Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments.
HVAC/R experience or trade school background.

Responsibilities

Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including drywall, patching, painting, tiling, basic masonry, shelving and equipment installation, floor repairs, and exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping).
Conduct routine maintenance on building systems: HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns.
Travel between multiple sites throughout the week across the Houston area.
Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues.
Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational.
