Maintenance Technician - Groundskeeper (Mural Brownsburg)
About The Position
Buckingham is seeking a tenacious maintenance professional who demonstrates a high sense of urgency, manages priorities effectively, is coachable and overcomes obstacles. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining optimal resident experience, property performance and presentation. This role is a hybrid position that sits between two traditional roles: Groundskeeper — basic grounds upkeep, and Maintenance Tech — focused on unit turns, work orders, and building systems. This role combines both, with primary ownership of irrigation monitoring and repair, bed and landscape maintenance, seasonal color (plantings), snow removal coordination, and overall grounds curb appeal.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently
- Reliable transportation
- Availability for 24-hour, on-call maintenance upon schedule
- Must carry an owned smartphone device (cell phone reimbursement will be awarded)
- High degree of accountability and ownership
- Excellent time management skills
- Internal and external customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Perform all daily repairs and maintenance of the apartment community.
- Perform services needed for HVAC systems, electrical/mechanical systems, plumbing, grounds, structural elements, mechanical equipment and refurbishment of apartments.
- Irrigation monitoring and repair
