About The Position

Unimacts is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanical) to join our operations in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is crucial for the continued growth of our Las Vegas facility, focusing on hands-on involvement in equipment commissioning, calibration, repair, and upkeep to ensure safety and production availability. The position operates on a 1st Shift schedule (5:30 AM - 3:30 PM).

Requirements

  • Ability to utilize Multimeter (DC, AC, Ohm, Volt, etc.), High Voltage (380V-480V), Low Voltage (24V-110V).
  • Proficiency with general mechanical tools (Bearing pullers, Chain breakers, Chain Pullers, etc.).
  • Excellent understanding of troubleshooting electrical and control problems such as contactors, relays, switches, transformers, power supply, etc. preferably PLC.
  • Ability to answer questions or complaints from supervisors and managers effectively.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and overtime in a non-climate-controlled setting.
  • Ability to change work schedule.
  • Preventative maintenance focus (Air leakage, oil system leakage, bearing malfunction, weird sounds on the machines, etc.).
  • Adaptability to an ever-changing environment and ability to change priorities based on production plans.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and different departments.
  • High school diploma completed.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.

Nice To Haves

  • A technical career in Electro-Mechanical fields is preferred.
  • Experience in mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, or metal transformation is a plus.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm that designated equipment operates according to both manufacturer’s guidelines and company standards.
  • Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting for a variety of machinery including CNC Machines, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, and Electrical troubleshooting.
  • Execute all preventive maintenance and inspections linked to the equipment.
  • Promptly perform repairs to avoid impacting production. Utilize the time in preventative maintenance while everything is working properly.
  • Diagnose and repair issues in electric drives & motors, mechanical parts like bearings, shafts, chains, and sprockets.
  • Troubleshoot 120V & 480V electrical circuits including sensors, switches, and low-voltage instruments.
  • Diagnose Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and control systems.
  • Perform diagnosis and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Plan and execute corrective measures, reporting findings and taking necessary actions.
  • Maintain peak production efficiency and quality when implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience in MIG welding and basic metal structure manufacturing.
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards per ISO 9001/14001/45001 and company management systems.
  • Participate in company-organized training, learning new systems and methodologies as required.
  • Populate the computerized system based on set procedures.
  • Execute other tasks as assigned.
