About The Position

The 3rd Shift Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. This role applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operation. The technician will provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing, working within a Participative Work Team structure.

Requirements

5-7 years of proven experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields with high proficiency.
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the use of special instruments for diagnostics.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel, individually or in a team environment.
Ability to interface and communicate with line operators for repairs and troubleshooting.
Willingness to work a 12-hour shift and overtime as required.
Computer experience/operation or PLC programming experience.
High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances.
Ability to climb overhead structures, work beneath machines, and in close quarters for analysis and repair.
High safety consciousness.
Exposed to high voltage electricity and completed arc flash training.
Broad trades training and knowledge of related methods and procedures acquired in a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent extensive on-the-job training and experience.
Must possess required licenses.
Ability to read, write, and interpret the English language.

Nice To Haves

Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform complex electrical and mechanical service work in production, tooling support, and plant and machine maintenance.
Participate in a Participative Work Team, sharing goals and responsibilities including communication, budgeting, scheduling, evaluating, analyzing, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gages, and test equipment.
Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories, principles, specifications, local and national electrical codes, material properties, and electronic equipment operation.
Install, start up, and shut down equipment according to company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
Advise operators and line mechanics on safe operating procedures for electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment.
Inform management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and associated dangers.
Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.
Assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
Diagnose, rebuild, and repair equipment.
Operate equipment for diagnostic purposes.
Assist and train other maintenance and technical employees.
Perform other duties as required.
Fulfill additional requirements for the successful operation of the Participative Work Team.
