Electro-Mechanical Technician - 3rd Shift
About The Position
This role involves performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels. The technician will also perform emergency and break-down maintenance, referencing equipment manuals and technical literature, and working with vendors and subcontractors. Key responsibilities include accurately using measurement and test equipment, performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam system repairs and installations, safely operating the boiler to maintain adequate steam pressure, and accurately preparing and maintaining maintenance records. The position also requires troubleshooting and problem-solving, maintaining teamwork, and keeping supervision informed of issues.
Requirements

- The ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices.
- Well-rounded electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills and experience.
- The ability to learn; the ability to follow instructions, ask questions and work effectively as a member of a team.
Responsibilities
- Following all safety rules and practices; performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, and repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels.
- Performing emergency and break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations; referencing equipment manuals and other technical literature; contacting and working with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.
- Accurately using measurement and test equipment.
- Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed.
- Safely operating the boiler, and maintaining adequate operating steam pressure.
- Accurately and completely preparing and maintaining maintenance records and other paperwork.
- Trouble-shooting and solving problems; maintaining teamwork with other associates and keeping supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations.
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
