Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3–5 years of related electro-mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Current Massachusetts State Journeyman Electrical License.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of PLCs and computer-controlled manufacturing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of NEC requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and man lifts and maintain required certifications.
  • Ability to safely work at elevated heights.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Windows applications.
  • Basic math, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must own basic electrical and maintenance tools.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15).

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and upgrade electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems, including AC/DC drives, temperature controllers, instrumentation, HVAC systems, and CNC milling machines.
  • Use PLC systems to troubleshoot machine controls and network communication issues.
  • Read, interpret, design, and update electrical schematics to support equipment repairs, upgrades, and facility projects.
  • Perform equipment inspections and preventive maintenance to identify worn components and potential failures before they impact production.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement solutions to reduce downtime and prevent recurring issues.
  • Support the design, installation, and layout of electrical circuits and systems for equipment and facility projects.
  • Partner with external contractors on electrical, maintenance, construction, and facility projects.
  • Support preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery and related equipment.
  • Provide technical direction, training, and hands-on support to junior maintenance technicians.
  • Identify and communicate equipment concerns that could impact safety, quality, or production.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
