Partner with the best As a Maintenance Technician – Class C, you will be supporting plant operations by performing mechanical, electrical, environmental, and facility maintenance activities. You will be contributing to equipment reliability, maintaining safe working practices, and developing core technical skills while supporting day-to-day maintenance operations.

Requirements

  • Have safe work practices across all required safety programs.
  • Have the ability to use the maintenance operating system for work orders and parts lookup.
  • Have basic plumbing and piping knowledge.
  • Have knowledge of lubricants and proper applications.
  • Have understanding of industrial terms and unit conversions such as PSI, Bar, RPM, Ohms, and Volts.
  • Have knowledge of basic electrical concepts and tasks.
  • Have knowledge of waste stream handling and environmental requirements.
  • Have knowledge of spill response and cleanup procedures.
  • Have the ability to use basic measuring devices.
  • Have knowledge of lubrication warehouse organization and labeling.
  • Have knowledge of basic plant piping and electrical distribution.
  • Have knowledge of introductory power transmission systems including belts, couplings, alignments, sheaves, and keyways.
  • Have successful completion of skills assessment and hands-on testing required to validate competency for this role.
  • Current work authorization in the country of employment.
  • The employer is unable to provide or continue work authorization sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Performing basic mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Following required safe work procedures including LOTO, confined space, working at heights, hot work, and compressed gases.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting equipment issues and completing work orders.
  • Operating forklifts, manlifts, scissor lifts, and stacker lifts with required certifications.
  • Supporting environmental compliance, waste handling, labeling, and spill response.
  • Performing basic electrical tasks including lighting replacement, building cords, and simple diagnostics.
  • Using basic measuring tools and maintaining lubrication areas.
  • Assisting with basic plumbing, piping, and facility systems.
  • Operating water recycling and evaporator systems.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
