About The Position

This position is dedicated exclusively to a specific condominium in the Brookhaven area. The Maintenance Technician Assistant works closely with the property Maintenance Manager on the community’s construction and maintenance needs, serves in a client-facing capacity, and receives support from the corporate office. The role calls for a highly skilled maintenance worker with a broad range of construction and maintenance experience. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in construction, maintenance, and repairs.
• Physically able to perform the duties of the position.
• Able to work outdoors in various elements.
• Carpentry skills.
• Experience hanging and finishing sheetrock.
• Basic electrical wiring skills.
• Painting experience, including interior and exterior walls, ceilings, trim and molding, siding, and handrails.
• Professional attitude and ability to work well with others and independently under limited supervision.
• Dependable and able to complete work in a timely manner.
• Valid driver's license and driving record with no major incidents.
• Must complete employee and criminal background checks and a drug test.
• Must be able to furnish references upon request.

Nice To Haves

• Experience running crews, as the position may lead to supervising and training other workers.
• Multi-family maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance, and repair work, including carpentry, sheetrock hanging and finishing, basic wiring, and interior and exterior painting.
• Perform assigned repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventative maintenance.
• Oversee and schedule specialized vendors involved in maintaining facility operations throughout the year.
• Perform janitorial and porter duties as assigned, such as weekly trash pickup.
• Submit mandatory weekly reports.
• Work independently or with others under limited supervision and complete assigned work in a timely manner.
