About The Position

CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician Apprentice for our Travel Team in Rome, NY. As our company continues to grow, we're looking for motivated professionals to help us build strong, welcoming communities. The Maintenance Technician's primary duty is to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and team members by maintaining the physical integrity of the property.

Requirements

1-2 years of full-time maintenance experience.
Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and various appliances.
Willingness to perform tasks required and to learn and grow.
Confident, positive attitude, good communications skills, and an ability to interact with a wide range of people.
Must be able to pass a 3-year background check.
Pre-employment drug testing.

Responsibilities

Carry out assigned duties as requested by the Superintendent in a safe manner according to company policies and procedures, state, and federal laws; e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.
Obtain a thorough knowledge of power, water, and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrants on property.
Assists in all aspects of the property's maintenance, including building and grounds interior and exterior, custodial, preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance.
Repairs structural wear and damage to buildings.
Grounds keeping and landscaping.
Clean parking areas, sidewalks, alleyways, hallways, and common areas.
Prepares vacant apartments including painting.
Services appliances, equipment, plumbing, electrical system, etc.
