About The Position

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for our Whitewater, WI manufacturing facility. In this hands-on technical role, you'll troubleshoot complex equipment, lead major repairs and maintenance projects, and improve equipment reliability and performance. You'll also serve as a technical resource, mentor other maintenance technicians, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to reduce downtime and strengthen maintenance practices.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of maintenance or skilled-trade experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting, repair techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Strong technical proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex equipment and machinery problems.
  • Proven ability to train and mentor other maintenance technicians.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with engineering, quality, operations, and maintenance teams.
  • No formal education credential is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade certification or professional licensing in a mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled maintenance discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of complex industrial equipment and machinery, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute major equipment repairs, rebuilds, installations, and maintenance projects to support reliable manufacturing operations.
  • Lead root cause analyses of recurring equipment failures, implement corrective actions, and strengthen preventive maintenance practices.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment design, manufacturing processes, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, maintenance best practices, and long-term equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Train, mentor, and certify Level 1 and Level 2 maintenance technicians, sharing technical knowledge and supporting skill development.
  • Coordinate contractors and vendors performing specialized maintenance, repairs, and equipment-related services.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase equipment uptime, reduce maintenance costs, and improve workplace safety while ensuring compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
