About The Position

The Maintenance Tech ensures the hotel’s behind-the-scenes operations remain safe, efficient, and functioning properly during the overnight shift. The role performs preventive maintenance and repairs across hotel equipment and systems, responds to maintenance calls and emergencies, and supports other hotel departments as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance.
• Hands-on knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and time management.
• Comfort using basic computer systems and mobile work orders.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Comfort working on ladders, in tight spaces, and overhead.

Nice To Haves

• Refrigeration experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance schedules on key equipment.
• Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers and systems supporting hot water, kitchen steam, and air conditioning.
• Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance calls and emergencies.
• Assist contractors and fellow mechanics with property repairs and improvements.
• Maintain commercial kitchen, laundry, and pool equipment.
• Monitor and follow up on assigned work orders and daily task lists.
• Stay in constant communication with the team via radio during the shift.
• Know and follow emergency protocols, fire safety systems, and OSHA regulations.
• Support other hotel departments as needed.
