About The Position

The Maintenance Tech performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plating machinery, tanks, rectifiers, and other equipment. The role assists with troubleshooting malfunctions, carrying out basic repairs, supporting equipment installations and modifications, and maintaining accurate service records. The technician collaborates with other maintenance technicians, follows safety protocols, participates in training, and helps keep the maintenance workshop clean and organized. The majority of the work is performed in shop conditions. The work schedule is 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, and compensation is $35.00 to $40.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plating machinery, tanks, rectifiers, and other equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
Assist in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and troubleshooting to identify root causes.
Perform basic repairs and adjustments on plating equipment while following safety protocols and maintenance standards.
Collaborate with Maintenance Technician I and III to support their development and improve maintenance efficiency.
Assist with equipment installations, disassembly, and assembly as required.
Maintain documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory records.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop technical skills and stay current with industry best practices.
Support senior technicians in identifying opportunities for equipment upgrades, modifications, or enhancements to improve efficiency and safety.
Comply with safety guidelines and protocols.
Help maintain a clean and organized maintenance workshop and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and in good working condition.
