Maintenance Tech III
About The Position
This position consists of repairing and maintaining all recycling facility equipment, including heavy mobile equipment, conveyors, balers, and shredders. The role involves installing new equipment and performing preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and make improvements. The technician will be responsible for maintaining specific machine handlers and performing repair work on various systems such as hydraulics, electronic/electrical systems, and mechanical components. Additionally, the role requires completing work orders, identifying necessary parts, and utilizing computers for research. The job also emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to work various shifts.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years of verifiable experience related to industrial troubleshooting, maintenance and repair experience on heavy equipment or in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment

- Must have your own basic hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Valid State Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Repairing and maintaining all recycling facility equipment (heavy mobile equipment, conveyors, ballers, shredders, etc.)
- Installing new equipment
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment and industrial recycling equipment to minimize downtime and make improvements
- Maintaining the Sennebogen and caterpillar machine handlers
- Performing repair work on systems including hydraulics, electronic/electrical systems, mechanical repairs, basic fabrication, and preventive maintenance
- Completing work orders and keeping detailed notes of repairs performed
- Identifying necessary parts for repairs
- Using computers/internet to research and source part/equipment replacements
- Working in multiple positions, including but not limited to kneeling, bending, crouching, elevated in lifts, for extended durations
- Observing all safety requirements and leading by example in working safely
- Giving and receiving constructive feedback for coaching
- Working various shifts if needed
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed by maintenance and operations management team
